Moments with Dr Steve – Number Thirty-eight
The Way Out – Number Seven
Human suffering remains one of our greatest mysteries.
The belief – the myth – is that no one suffers but us.
Suffering is then, that intense – and then that personalized.
Suffering feels like the world – and all of its agencies – are plotting against us – with the sole intent of bringing us harm.
Suffering implants within us this strange concoction of bruised egos, broken bodies and then interminable and unknown endings.
Suffering – as it endures – as it lingers – we begin to notice – choice patterns assemble.
Either we can learn to lean into the suffering – and gain wisdom and strength – directly from our suffering as primary source material.
Or – we can permit the suffering to simmer and then boil and then spill into every arena of our lives – poisoning our relationships – wrecking our physical strength – and evaporating our moral and spiritual courage.
In ‘The Way Out’ – I outline five (5) key strands of intelligent – soul – recalibration.
